Skincare routine for fresh look

Barber washing a client's hair and face

A sharp cut with irritated skin underneath is a wasted opportunity. The good news: a routine that prevents razor burn and dullness takes four minutes, morning and night.

Step 1 — Cleanse gently

Use a mild facial cleanser, lukewarm water, and your hands — not a rough towel. Cleansing before a shave softens stubble; cleansing at night removes the day's oil and product.

Step 2 — Exfoliate twice a week

A gentle scrub lifts dead skin and frees ingrown hairs, which is half the battle against shaving bumps. More than twice a week irritates — restraint is the routine.

Step 3 — Moisturize, always with SPF by day

Shaving removes the skin's top layer along with the hair, so moisturizer after every shave is non-negotiable. In the morning pick one with SPF — most visible aging is sun damage, not age.

The post-shave order

  • +Cold rinse to close pores, then pat dry.
  • +Alcohol-free balm on shaved areas — never straight alcohol.
  • +Moisturizer over everything, SPF if heading out.

Add our facial to any shave service and we will do the deep version — cleanse, exfoliate, mask and massage — while you sit back.
